WINTER SPORTS
ARCHERY
FIRST PRACTICE: 3RD FULL WEEK OF OCTOBER
The Nelson County High School archery team represents Bardstown with focus, discipline, and outstanding marksmanship. Competing in local and state target tournaments, student-athletes develop core strength, concentration, and precision on the shooting line. Supported by dedicated coaches, the team promotes sportsmanship, mental toughness, and school pride with every arrow launched.
BOWLING
FIRST PRACTICE: OCTOBER 1ST
Our High School Bowling Team welcomes students of all skill levels, from first-time bowlers to experienced competitors! Purchasing your own equipment is not required, but having a personal bowling ball can help improve ball control, consistency, and scores as skills develop. The team practices once a week, with bus transportation available for practices and all matches, and the atmosphere is fun, supportive, and team-focused with concessions available. There is no admission cost for matches, so family and friends are encouraged to come out and cheer on our bowlers during the season from October through January.

Following the official start date, practices will take place daily, Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 5:30.
The program features a Youth Skills Academy, in which high school athletes help teach skills, spanning seven weeks, culminating in an eighth-week Showcase leading up to the February 19th game. Regular season games are scheduled between December and February, with post-season play to follow.
To participate, student-athletes must provide an up-to-date sports physical. We are dedicated to building a strong culture of sisterhood and teaching essential life skills that extend beyond the court, all while honoring our history as we shape our future.
