We offer fall and winter workouts 2-3 times a week starting in late August/early September. Once the season starts we practice 5-6 times a week up until the season starts in which we play or practice most days. In order to tryout or attend any workout an up to date physical must be on file with the school. We are '25 and '26 19th district champs and have advanced to the region semifinals in both years. In our 2026 season we were 2A Section 3 champions and made it to the 2A state tournament in Owensboro.

We are thrilled to launch our second season of spring flag football as we prepare for its official debut as a sanctioned sport in the 2027–28 school year! As the fastest-growing female sport in the country, flag football is opening exciting new doors for athletes every day.

This season, we will field both a Varsity team and a JV team, with 7th and 8th graders eligible to join JV. Practices will take place after school 3 to 4 days a week, depending on that week's game schedule.

he Nelson County High School Lady Cards softball team molds students to have a competitive spirit, disciplined play, and strong team camaraderie. Competing in the 5th Region, the squad focuses on sharp defensive execution, dynamic offense, and continuous skill development on the diamond. Guided by dedicated coaches and backed by a proud community, the Lady Cards bring passion and grit to every pitch.

Track practice will begin in early January Mon-Fri 3:30-5:30 for both middle schoolers and high schoolers. 

Season begins End of Feb and runs through the beginning of May. Practices are mandatory and are held after school from 3:30-5:00, Monday-Friday.
