AS WE UNITE OUR STUDENTS WITH THE GIFTS OF OUR COMMUNITY, WE HAVE MANY INTERESTED IN EXPLORING EDUCATION AS A FUTURE CAREER PATH. THE EARLY CHILDCARE & EDUCATION COLLAB ALLOWS STUDENTS TO IMMERSE THEMSELVES INTO EARLY CHILDCARE DEVELOPMENT AT THE EARLY LEARNING CENTER. OPPORTUNITIES WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE TO EXPLORE EDUCATION CAREER OPPORTUNITIES ACROSS ALL GRADE LEVELS IN THE NELSON COUNTY SCHOOLS.

THE EDUCATION COLLAB IS OPEN TO STUDENTS GRADES 9-11 WHO HAVE AN INTEREST IN P-12 EDUCATION


Through the experience, students will have options to work toward an Associate’s in Early Childhood Education and/or a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, or a Registered Apprenticeship with Nelson County Schools.

First year Education Collab students engage in the Education Collab in the afternoon.



DUAL CREDIT AND EARLY COLLEGE

There will be opportunities for morning or afternoon classes through the Education & Early Childcare Collab.


CREDENTIALING & EARLY COLLEGE

NCS partners with Elizabethtown Community & Technical College and Western Kentucky University to offer dual credit through the collab.

Students may apply for dual credit experiences as early as freshman year. Scholarships are available to cover the cost of dual credit.
